The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

Even though we have left the EU, we are bound, under UK Law, to comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation. Unlike previous Data Protection Regulations (e.g. DPA 1998), this regulation has the power to award huge breach fines, up to 4% of a companies GROSS global annual turnover. This will hurt big players such as Google and Facebook but can also affect smaller companies.

Furthermore individuals (known as data subjects) have much more rights to their data, which can place huge burdens on smaller companies. If you collect, store, process or transmit any personal data (basically any data that be can be used to identify a living person), you must comply with this law.

This course will help you to understand your obligations and how you can easily and economically comply.

The course content will be tailored to the attendees needs. A survey will be sent to attendees (max 5) to understand their requirements during the course.
